SV212 FULL DAY TREKKING AT MAETANG

Experience one day trekking at Maetang area,north of Chiangmai city.Visit local market ,trekking to Akha hill tribe village ,waterfall,feed the elephants and enjoy white water rafting.

Daily: 08.30-17.00 hrs.

Depart from the hotel by a local truck or van heading to the north of Chiang Mai passing country side and rice fields.Stop to visit Mae Malai market on the way, the colorful and exotic local market, where the local people and the hill tribes meet and trade their goods mostly fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. Proceed to an Akha hill tribe village in Mae Tang area. Visit the colorful people who are found in the mountains of China, Laos Myanmar (Burma) and northern Thailand. There are approximately 20,000 of them living in the Northern provinces especially Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Continue by truck or van to a starting point. Trek for 1 hour to the waterfall where you can enjoy swimming and relaxing. Then trek back and transfer to the Elephant camp.

Arrive and enjoy Pad-Thai as lunch at the camp.

Afternoon feed the Elephant, get close with the beautiful huge creature.Adventure with a thrilling white water rafting along the Mae Tang River for 40 minutes (depend on water level).

When finished all programs, transfer back to the hotel.
